I can’t believe its been three months since my last blog post. Where has that time gone? Sorry for the lack of communication. It’s been a little bit crae’ in the White household, however the next few weeks should be more relaxing and more time to focus on house renovating. (I can’t deal with half painted walls any longer!)
So a quick round up of whats been going on. It was Dave’s birthday in the middle of March (the big 3 0) and we took ourselves off for a long weekend in Amsterdam. Definitely one of my favourite cities of all time with its beautiful canals and perfect little houses. We also had a little surprise party, which of course ended up in an almighty hangover.
We also for the first time gave Pottery throwing a go. I haven’t been the most avid watcher of the Great British Pottery Throw Down but this isn’t the case anymore. And yes, it is as hard as it looks but ridiculously relaxing. This was in celebration of Dave’s Mum’s birthday as a present from the kids, but we are hooked and already looking to book up our next session. I think a lot of practising is in order but I will do a separate blog about this on a later date.
We’ve also just got back from a crazy long weekend in Centre Parc’s with us and 20 of our friends. Lots of drinking and swimming with some bad hangovers, I think we all needed a holiday. But of course there was lots of laughter and funny memories made.
So these are the big plans which have taken place, of course with work and day to day life thrown in the middle. My new years resolution to slow down hasn’t quite worked out aa it seems but we are going to try this more in the year.
However in the mix of this all, I have been planning and drafting some blogs so don’t you worry. There is lots of renovating still going on in the house and here are a few titles you have to look forward to:
- Project Bathroom – the finished product
- Project Bedroom – where are we now.
- A weekend in Amsterdam – holiday special
- Going potty for Pottery
- Furniture Painting Class – how to slap it on
And many more.
Happy Bank Holiday Monday all.
Until next time…
